HOW TO PLAY CHESS GAME
Chess is a two-player strategy game played on a checkered gameboard. The gameboard consists of 64 squares arranged in an 8x8 grid. Each player starts with 16 pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns.
The objective of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king, which means to put the king in a position where it is under attack and cannot escape capture.
1. The game begins with each player placing their pieces in a specific starting position.
2. White moves first, and then players take turns moving their pieces.
3. Each piece has its own unique way of moving: the pawn moves forward, the knight moves in an L-shape, the bishop moves diagonally, the rook moves horizontally or vertically, the queen moves in any direction, and the king moves one square in any direction.
4. The pawn has the option of moving two squares on its first move, and can capture an opponent's piece diagonally.
5. The goal of the game is to checkmate your opponent's king by putting it in a position where it is under attack and cannot escape capture.
6. Chess can be played in person, online, or through computer programs. It's a game that requires patience, strategy and practice to master it.
